Hello.
Well why don't we start off with a funny story? Does that sound good? Okay well it wasn't funny at first...but now it is. So on our way here...so just 10 mins ago, Hna Zepeda was leading on bike. When we get to this busy street with now light, but there is a cross walk, I usually go first because she is oblivious...so It is much safer if I go first. That is the only reason why I starting leading. The church was like 1 min away. So we cross the street, do we get hit by any cars? No. We made it safe and sound...or so I thought. As we pass this car on the street, right as I'm passing it, I see the door start to open, but I missed it cuz it was just about to open....and as I pass the car, I turn around to say "DOOR!!!" but I didn't say it loud enough and the woman opened the door...can you imagine what happened next? Yes. You are right. I ACTUALLY WATCH HER GET thrown off her bike and she lands super hard on the ground. She just laid there. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I jumped off my bike and thought she she DIED. She was just laying there. So the women like helped her up and was like "Are you okay?" She was like yeah I think so. So naturally I said, "Are you lying?" hahaha then the women says do you want some water? (I thought to myself...NO she doesn't want water she JUST got hit by you DOOOOOOOR.) haha anyway she says she is okay...but I think it's going to hurt her a lot tomorrow. Sad huh. But I watched it happen like slow motion. So two things: If I was biking second, I would have gotten hit. Second, if there was a car , she would have gotten run over. Some many things to be grateful for :-) haha okay enough of that.
This week was super busy with things other than missionary work...which was hard, but we still met our goals considering. Why so busy? Well, we had eschanges for 2 nights instead of one. I went to North Hollywod with Hna Clayton (She was in El camino where I am for 5 transfers). It was fun I like her. Anyway, then we had Zone conference. We met our new Mission President, Pres Hall and his family. They are supppppper young. It's going to be very different for sure. Then we had 4th of july....and we weren't really supposed to be out...so we didn't get much done....BUT we we did see Yari and she is going to get baptized the 23rd of Sept!!!!!! Wow I never thought it was going to happen so soon!!! I'm so happy and excited. She is 17 and from el salvador. She has completly changed.
Alma 13:23 it's a privilge to be a member of this church really.
13:27-30 Kinda how I feel as a missionary.
Something I realized this last week is that I don't think I would have understood how importnat this gospel, this church really is unless I came on my mission. Hna Zepeda and I talked a lot and I just love her. I knew the church was true, but coming on my mission...wow who knew I needed to actually do it. It has blessed my life now, and because of the knowledge I have gained here and the things experienced, it will forever bless my life. As I come to understand the knowldege I have, it becomes even more so a part of me, which give me more power to teach. I love my mission. I appreciate all the support. Really though. I'm happy with the decision I made.
I had to give the training in District meeting on friday. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH seriously. haha but I did it and it went super well. The spirit def. helped me get my point across.
People call us their angels, and whenever I hear that, it touches my heart because I am able to share the love God has for them.
I don't have that much time to write because we gotta go shop and then...we are having a water balloon fight as a ZONE! YEAH! It's sooo hot here. It'll be alot of fun. I told hna not to play as hard...though cuz I don't want her to be dead. you know?
Well just know that if you actually want to know if this church is true, accion must be taken and you have to work to gain that testimony. Nothing great comes easily....or it wouldn't be worth it. I love you all so much. God love you all beyond comprehension. Thanks for everything.
ps Hna bought a Uke...and I tuned it. Aren't you proud mom? :-) I'm teaching her and I don't even know how to play it haha but it's working. I love my COMPA!
Love,
Hna Argüello
